Plasmoid
Plasmoid
“Plasmoid” is a term that refers to a category of creatures, rather than a specific one. They are gelatinous beings, devoid of discernible vital organs, without a skeleton and who act purely on instinct. For practical purposes, they are like amoebas. There are numerous types of plasmoids, some of them are below:
Royuz
A Royuz resembles a translucent ruby crystal whose height varies from 30 to 60 cm. It moves slowly and feeds by filtering nutrients suspended on the banks of rivers, lakes and ponds. If disturbed, it will try to escape or, if this is not possible, attack by extending its body towards the attacker, causing a blow.
The Royuz’s attacks, however, are extremely inefficient. Their main survival tactic as a species is their rapid ability to reproduce. Each month a Royuz is capable of generating ten offspring, which sprout like mini-crystals attached to the sides of its body and detach when they reach a minimum size to live as autonomous individuals. They are blind and their main sense is seismic. They feel the vibrations in the ground and guide themselves through them.
They are used in livestock farming as a food source, as they are tasty, sweet and proteic.
